January (25) - 26, 2009 -- Arrowwood Resort, Alexandria
we will be doing a day-long workshop on Monday, Jan 26, 2009, in Alexandria. It will be a "sandbox" experience! Come play with your friends and colleagues as we share, learn, and explore lots of nifty things to do with Destiny that we haven't had time to figure out on our own. Bring a laptop computer and you can complete projects during the day. We'll have adult supervision (with a safety net) in the form of expert support to lead the way or to help us figure it out. Maybe you want to jazz up your Destiny homepage, add digital content, make better use of email, empower your students and teachers -- whatever you need to learn, to share, or explore will be the content of the day.
But - come early. On Sunday evening we'll have time to explore games and gadgets during an informal social time. Bring your favorite games and gadgets -- show someone else what you're doing, play with someone else's gadgets and gizmos, share a gaming experience that you're good at -- or have never tried before. Hors d'oeuvres will be available and the action will be fast paced, social, and fun!
And the cost?? FREE! Isn't that a deal?! We'll provide the workshop and the meals -- all you have to do is register for the workshop, make a lodging reservation if you're staying over, and get yourself there!

2-day Destiny End User Training
Region 1, Moorhead

2-day Basic Destiny Training for new Consortium members who have migrated to the North Star Library Consortium during Oct-Dec 2008. Training will be held in the Region 1 (Moorhead, MN) Training Lab. Each district will be contacted directly about participation in this training.

August 14 and 15, 2008 - we will conduct 4 training sessions (each 1/2 day training session is 4 hrs -- register to attend only one) for all NSLC members as of 5/08. Each session will be devoted to using the newly re-configured Destiny, new access levels and privileges, and the responsibilities of your local Destiny Administrator.
