Barcode-Short Site Names

Page history last edited by Ruth Solie 1 yr ago

4 digit prefixes for each District are established by MINITEX. They are part of the Minnesota Standards for Library Automation Systems and are used as barcode prefixes and, in the Consortium, as unique identifiers for each District.

These 4 digits, combined with letters, comprise the "short site name" for each member site of the Consortium. For example, Ada-Borup Public Schools has been assigned "3501". Short site names are: Ada-Borup High School - 3501A; Ada-Borup Elementary(K-4) - 3501B; Ada-Borup  Elementary (5-6) - 3501C. This information is included in the "contact sheets" on this wiki for each member district .

Below are lists of these prefixes by NLLN and CMLE regions and includes number for all member of the Consortium, as well as many schools and educational units that are within the NLLN or CMLE region. Tim Peters at MINITEX will assign a number upon request if we have Districts, private schools, or special libraries not included on these lists.
